Play is vital to a child’s development, it is how we as humans first begin to interact with each other as infants and explore our surroundings learning about the world and gaining an understanding of our place within it.
Playgrounds provide spaces where children of all ages can interact with each other, explore the world around them, assess and understand risks (in a safe environment) and by providing opportunities for imaginative play develop an active and creative imagination.
MUSA Landscape Architecture is ideally placed to help you create the best play area, having previously worked at a company that developed playground equipment designing playgrounds throughout Australia I have a full understanding of best practice and Australian Standards in relation of Playgrounds.
I believe the best playgrounds will encourage children to develop an active and creative imagination, achieved through a combination of traditional playground equipment and 'play gardens' providing children with the opportunities to explore the natural world, understand natural processes and ultimately their place within it.
As adults we sometimes tend to forget where we played as children and only see mess and dirt, restricting our kids from getting dirty, exploring the natural world, learning and playing.
The play areas I design have a strong emphasis on natural play, using natural elements and simulated natural areas supplemented with more traditional equipment to provide a stimulating environment to assist the next generation to become aware of, understand and hopefully protect the natural world.
BOOK A DESIGN CONSULTATION
This design consultation is a great opportunity for me to meet you, see the space and to discuss your aspirations and how you want to use the space. A small fee applies but is deducted from the overall design commission.
"Ryan produced a design that incorporated all of our specifications to a very high standard. He did so in close consultation with us and other key community stakeholders.
In addition to the design work, we were able to rely upon Ryan's dedication, expertise and steady hand to shepherd the project through a stringent Development Application process.
As a (volunteer) church warden I really appreciated Ryan's input throughout this project and would highly recommend him for other large-scale, high-profile projects, especially if they combined multiple components including children’s play areas."
